Refugee week: Celebrate 10 YEARS of refugees with a disability resettling in Australia

 

In-person event

This Refugee Week we celebrate ten years since Australia allowed refugees living with a disability to arrive in Australia through the resettlement program. Join some of the people and services who helped make this change possible, and those who have made Australia home as a result.

Speakers include:

Adama Kamara (Deputy CEO, Refugee Council of Australia); Prof Mary Crock (author of The Legal Protection of Refugees with Disabilities: Forgotten and Invisible?); refugee speakers; an address from UNHCR, and many more.

Hosted by the NSW Refugee Health Service, National Ethnic Disability Alliance, Refugee Council of Australia, Settlement Services International, and The University of Sydney.

Specialist disability childcare provided on request. Parking available on site. Wheelchair accessible venue.
