Company Directors – Navigating Troubled Waters
In person event
Norton Rose Fulbright in collaboration with Sydney Law School and Ansarada are pleased to invite you to our forum entitled Company Directors – Navigating Troubled Waters.
In today’s uncertain world, company directors need to be ready to deal with unexpected challenges and distress. Hear from our panel of experts sharing their practical experience about the tools available to navigate your business through these challenges and how to effectively manage the risk of personal liability.
The session will help you to understand, in practical terms:
- directors’ duties, in the context of distress or potential insolvency;
- how the legislative safe harbour has enabled successful businesses restructures (including a discussion of first-hand experience);
- its value in protecting directors from personal liability; and
- relevant issues and how technology can play a role.
There will be an opportunity for Q&A at the end of the session.
Speakers:
- Pauline Vamos | Non-Executive Director, BALLB, FASFA, GAICD
- Professor Jason Harris | Professor of Corporate Law, University of Sydney
