Launch of International Commercial and Investor-State Arbitration – Australia and Japan in Regional and Global Contexts

Book Launch: International Commercial and Investor-State Arbitration – Australia and Japan in Regional and Global Contexts

Launched by the Hon James Leslie Bain Allsop AO, Chief Justice, Federal Court of Australia

Book description

This book of 12 selected, updated and new essays combines analysis of international commercial and investment treaty arbitration to examine how they have been framed by the twin tensions of ‘in/formalisation’ and ‘glocalisation’, including in the COVID-19 pandemic era. The book focuses on Australia and Japan in their attempts to become regional hubs for international arbitration and dispute resolution services in the increasingly influential Asia-Pacific context as well as a global context.

A short video recording outlining the book can also now be viewed here, the introductory chapter is here, and a 35% discount order form is here.
